Job Description
Job Summary:
The Technical Authority (PS Core) is responsible for providing technical leadership and operational oversight of Packet Switched (PS) Core network elements. The role ensures optimal network performance, reliability, and compliance through proactive monitoring, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of core network systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform daily health checks, quarterly audits, and special event audits across PS Core nodes including MME, SGSN, GGSN, SAPC, EPG, PCC/PCG, SMF, and UPF.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network faults, capacity-related issues, and performance degradation tickets.
- Manage subscriber sessions, including PDP context handling, bearer management, and IMSI tracing.
- Implement and configure APNs, IMSI ranges, rating groups, and QoS profiles.
- Configure and manage PCC rules, including PDR, QER, FAR, and URR policies, and ensure integration with PCRF/SAPC systems.
- Manage DNS, NAPTR, and SRV configurations for IMS and EPC services.
- Support integration and deployment of new PS Core nodes, including virtualized and cloud-based solutions (e.g., vEPG, vMME, vUPF on Kubernetes).
- Plan and execute software upgrades, patching activities, and capacity expansions with minimal service disruption.
- Monitor and analyze network KPIs such as attach success rate, bearer setup success, handover success, latency, and throughput.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts (Bash, Python, Expect, AWK) for log analysis, KPI monitoring, and operational efficiency.
- Handle customer service requests (CSRs) and coordinate with customer support teams to ensure timely resolution.
