Support Engineer

James Bundock is looking for a Support Engineer to work a 12 month rolling contract based in the UAE.

Responsibilities:

• Lead domain from customer-site as well as managing offshore team for ensuring production system performance and stability.
• Provide Technical support on Solaris, HPUnix, Redhat Linux , High availability cluster and DR solutions.
• Participation in customer’s projects activities related to RedHat / Oracle/ Dell / HP / Huawei or any other projects.
• Understand how RedHat / Oracle /Dell / HP /.
• Assistance as consultant in customer’s presentations, documentation and workshops.

Requirements: 

• Hands on experience on managing Solaris 10, Solaris 11.
• Managing SPARC and oracle hardware including T series.
• Experience in handling LDOM, Zone, Oracle VM, Sun cluster.
• Handling ZFS, UFS, Sun cluster, QFS.
• Experience in HPUNIX, RHEL 6,7,8,9 .
• Handling Redhat products like RHEL, PCS cluster and HPMCSG cluster.
• Strong knowledge on Solaris operating system and recovery from scratch.
• Managing critical incident and outages.
• Managing disaster recovery scenarios.
• Maintain OS configuration ( Linux/UNIX and RedHat Openshift any flavor RHEL/Solaris is desirable).
