Job Description
The client is looking for a Site Quality Engineer to work a 3 month rolling contract based in Angola (Luanda).
Role Overview:
- We are looking for an experienced Site Quality Engineer to support RAN deployment activities across 2G, 3G, 4G and 5G technologies, including associated transmission scope.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting site quality audits, field surveys and site transfer follow-up, while coordinating onsite activities to ensure execution is completed in line with telecom project requirements, quality standards and agreed specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support RAN activities across 2G, 3G, 4G and 5G technologies, including transmission activities.
- Perform site quality audits and inspections to ensure installation work meets required project and quality standards.
- Conduct field surveys and provide accurate reports and findings to the project team.
- Coordinate and follow up on site transfer, acceptance and handover activities.
- Coordinate onsite execution in accordance with telecom project requirements, specifications and agreed quality standards.
- Inspect RAN and transmission installations and identify any quality issues or non-conformities.
- Produce and manage snag/punch lists, ensuring identified issues are followed through to resolution.
- Monitor subcontractor and field team activities to ensure required standards of workmanship are maintained.
- Review site documentation, photographs, checklists and other quality-related deliverables.
- Work closely with project managers, site teams, engineers, subcontractors and customer representatives.
- Track outstanding site issues and ensure corrective actions are completed within agreed timelines.
- Provide regular updates and reports on site quality, survey findings and site readiness.
- Support successful site acceptance and final handover.
Required Experience & Skills:
- Previous experience in a Site Quality Engineer, RAN Engineer, Site Engineer or similar telecoms field role.
- Strong knowledge of 2G, 3G, 4G and 5G RAN networks.
- Good understanding of telecom transmission systems and associated site infrastructure.
- Experience conducting quality audits, site inspections and field surveys.
- Experience with site transfer, acceptance and handover processes.
- Strong understanding of telecom installation and quality standards.
- Ability to identify installation defects and drive corrective actions through to closure.
- Experience coordinating onsite engineers, technicians and subcontractors.
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings, site designs and installation documentation.
- Strong communication, coordination and reporting skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple sites and priorities.
Preferred Experience:
- Previous experience working on Ericsson RAN rollout, modernisation or network deployment projects would be highly advantageous, particularly candidates with hands-on exposure to Ericsson equipment and site quality/acceptance processes.
