Site Agent

The client is looking for a Site Agent to work in Africa.

Role Overview:

The client is seeking an experienced Site Agent to support the successful delivery of road and bridge construction projects.

The role involves close coordination with the Project Manager, supervising engineers, and site teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in full compliance with contractual and technical requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Project Manager in preparing official correspondence related to construction methods, site management, and technical matters
• Manage communication of contract requirements, specifications, and construction standards with supervising engineers and site personnel
• Develop construction schedules and support progress monitoring, identifying delays and coordinating solutions with project stakeholders
• Manage claims for small to medium-sized projects, including variations, EOT claims, subcontract management, and payment control
• Ensure timely notification and submission of claims in accordance with contract requirements
• Prepare and update construction method statements and work plans based on engineer approvals and site progress
• Support preparation and submission of as-built drawings and project completion documentation
• Supervise site safety activities and support the implementation of safe and civilized construction practices
• Assist construction managers, foremen, and technical teams in daily site coordination and execution
• Provide site data and documentation to support contract administration and claims management

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Deep understanding of GCC and FIDIC contracts
• 10+ years of experience in road or bridge construction projects
• Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Road Site Agent
• Strong expertise in on-site cost control and budget management
• Extensive experience with site claims, variations, and delay management
• Bachelor’s degree or above in Civil Engineering
• Strong communication and coordination skills
