RAN Performance Engineer
Job Description
The RAN Performance Engineer will be responsible for day-to-day Radio Access Network (RAN) performance monitoring, analysis of key performance indicators (KPIs), and ensuring optimal network performance. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams and the customer to identify performance issues, support investigations, and drive continuous network performance improvements.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor and analyze RAN performance KPIs to identify trends, anomalies, and potential issues.
Prepare and deliver daily, weekly, and monthly RAN performance reports.
Develop and maintain customized ENIQ reports based on business and operational requirements, ensuring data accuracy and correct reporting formulas.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Front Office, Back Office, Optimization, Configuration, Network Rollout, and Solution Architecture, to support network performance initiatives.
Maintain the accuracy and consistency of performance dashboards through trend analysis and data validation.
Conduct periodic (weekly/monthly) performance analyses to identify deviations from established thresholds.
Provide recommendations for refining and improving KPI definitions and reporting methodologies.
Initiate and support network performance investigations to identify the root causes of performance degradation.
Monitor and report on network performance improvements following implemented network changes.
Develop and execute SQL queries to create customized reports and support performance analysis.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Telecommunications, or a related field.
3–5 years of experience in the telecommunications industry.
Strong technical knowledge of Radio Access Networks (RAN) and transport network technologies.
Hands-on experience with ENIQ reporting and performance management tools.
Strong SQL skills with the ability to create customized reports and analyze large datasets.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and reporting skills.
Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams.
