  • Perform daily health checks, quarterly audits, and special event audits on Packet Core (PS Core) network nodes, including MME, SGSN, GGSN, SAPC, EPG, PCC/PCG, SMF, UPF, and other EPC/5G Core elements.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve network faults, capacity-related issues, service requests, and performance degradation to ensure high network availability and service quality.
  • Manage subscriber sessions, PDP contexts, bearer management, and IMSI tracing activities.
  • Configure and implement new APNs, IMSI ranges, rating groups, QoS profiles, and subscriber-related services.
  • Configure and maintain Policy and Charging Control (PCC) rules, including PDR, QER, FAR, and URR policies, and integrate with PCRF/SAPC platforms.
  • Manage DNS, NAPTR, and SRV records supporting IMS and EPC services.
  • Support the integration, commissioning, and validation of new Packet Core network elements, including virtualised and cloud-native platforms such as vEPG, vMME, and vUPF deployed on cloud and Kubernetes environments.
  • Plan, implement, and validate software upgrades, patches, configuration changes, and capacity expansion activities while minimising service impact.
  • Monitor and analyse network KPIs, including attach success rate, bearer establishment success, handover success, latency, throughput, and other key performance indicators to optimise network performance.
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance automation scripts using Bash, Python, Expect, AWK, or similar scripting languages for operational efficiency, log analysis, KPI reporting, and routine maintenance tasks.
  • Perform log analysis, root cause analysis, and corrective actions to improve network stability and service reliability.
  • Handle customer service requests (CSRs) and coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely resolution and service delivery.
  • Prepare and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, incident reports, and audit records.
  • Ensure compliance with operational standards, security policies, and change management procedures.
  • Provide technical support and collaborate with engineering, optimisation, and operations teams to maintain network performance and availability.

  • Proven experience in the operation and maintenance of EPC and 5G Packet Core networks.
  • Strong knowledge of LTE EPC and 5G Core architectures, protocols, and interfaces.
  • Hands-on experience with Packet Core nodes such as MME, SGSN, GGSN, SAPC, EPG, PCC/PCG, SMF, UPF, and related network functions.
  • Experience with cloud-native and virtualised network functions, including Kubernetes-based deployments, is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of subscriber management, policy control, charging, QoS, and mobility management.
  • Experience with network monitoring, KPI analysis, troubleshooting, and performance optimisation.
  • Proficiency in Linux/Unix environments and scripting languages such as Bash, Python, Expect, or AWK.
  • Familiarity with DNS, NAPTR, and SRV configurations for IMS and EPC services.
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and documentation skills with the ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced telecom operations environment while maintaining high service standards.
