Project Manager

The client is looking for a OSS / BSS Transformation Project Manager to work a 12 month rolling contract based in South Africa (Johannesburg).

Summary:

• Team of Project Managers supporting Core Network Services (CNS) Project in South Africa, covering the following fields OSS/BSS – Operations Support System / Business Support System.
• CNS Projects comprises of multiple products mainly being FlowOne, UIV (Unified Inventory), OH (Order Hub) running on Red Hat Openshift.

What you will learn and contribute to:

• The Project Manager is accountable for an external Customer Program (collection of Projects managed together) or Project for an assigned product and/or service scope.
• The Project Manager ensures Customer Projects / Programmes are delivered within agreed Scope, Budget, Schedule and Quality.

• Plans Customer Project and keeps plan updated to reflect and anticipate changes by coordinating Change Management on all aspects affecting Cost, Scope, Schedule and quality (CSSQ).
• Manages the Customer relationship during delivery and serves as the primary interface towards the Customer in all activities-related to the own scope of the contract, including Customer complaints, corrective actions, and changing requirements.
• Actively applies appropriate best practices and lessons learned throughout the life of the Project. Monitors, controls, and reports KPI’s defined in Customer contract.
• Ensures all Project and Operational management is in full alignment with Mode of Operation (MoO), BG / BL guidelines and the PM@ methodology. 
• Monitors and controls that the Project is delivered within the approved budget, profitability forecast, and planned scope.
• Monitoring of progression of a project at every stage and ensure that the objectives are met.
• Quality Assurance, maintain a desired level of quality in a service or product, especially by means of attention to every stage of the process of delivery and development.
• Meeting deadlines, completes task and deliverables timeously.
• Stakeholder management, ensure that stakeholders are identified and engaged.
• Software development, be able to manage the expectation of the business users and keep it aligned to the development teams.
• Communication, timeously keep all stake holders up to date and provide feedback honestly and transparently.
