NOC Manager

The client is looking for a NOC Manager to work a 6 month rolling contract based in South Africa (Johannesburg).

Technical Expertise:

• Mastery in ≥1 domain (RAN/MW/IP/CN), understanding & O&M experience  in ZTE RAN/MW/IP/CN product.
• Cross-domain fault correlation skills (e.g. tracing IP transport issues to RAN KPI degradation)

E2E Process Mastery:

• End-to-end control from FO monitoring to BO root cause analysis
• Optimize incident escalation paths (e.g. P1 faults escalated to CTO in 15min)

Technical Decision-Making:

• Lead critical fault recovery (≥99.99% annual uptime)
• Approve high-risk change plans (e.g. core network patch upgrades)

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Mandatory: CCIE/HCIE or equivalent
• Preferred: 3GPP architecture certs (e.g. 5G NR Advanced)

Experience:

• 8 years telecom O&M (3 years BO specialist + 2 years FO leadership)
• Resolved ≥3 critical failure types:
• RAN: Massive MIMO beam failure
• CN: AMF cluster outage
• IP: BGP route leakage

Process Knowledge:

• Proficient in eTOM/ITL operational flows
• Capable of designing SOPs (eg. “Core Network Cutover Playbook”)
