Kimberly Hume is looking for a Network Architect to work a 6 month rolling contract based in Dusseldorf.

Job Description:

  • Lead the design, Development and Optimization of Network Infrastructure. The Network Architect will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that network infrastructure meets the requirements for performance, scalability, and security.

Good to Have:

  • A deep understanding of telecommunication technologies, protocols, and architecture is essential.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and testing initiatives for 4G/5G virtualized Radio Access Network (vRAN), ensuring alignment with project objectives and industry standards.
  • Manage the virtual Central Unit (vCU), virtual Distributed Unit (vDU), and Radio Units (RU) using Kubernetes orchestration for optimized performance and reliability.
  • Verify the functionality and performance of both 4G and 5G features, conducting rigorous testing procedures to validate compliance with specifications and customer requirements.
  • Perform in-depth analysis of User Equipment (UE) logs to diagnose issues, identify areas for optimization, and ensure seamless operation of the vRAN infrastructure.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, testing, and operations to drive continuous improvement and innovation in vRAN design and performance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Proven experience in designing and testing virtualized Radio Access Networks (RAN), with a focus on 4G and 5G technologies.
  • Proficiency in managing virtualized network functions (vCU, vDU, RU) using Kubernetes or similar container orchestration platforms.
  • Strong understanding of 4G and 5G standards and protocols, with hands-on experience in feature verification and testing.
