MS Field Maintenance Team Leader
Job Description
1. Purpose of the Role
This role is responsible for the coordination, management, and execution of Field Services activities supporting Operations and Engineering functions when on-site activities are required.
The objective is to ensure that services provided to customers are continuously available and meet agreed Service Level Agreement (SLA) performance levels.
The Field Maintenance Team Leader is responsible for the operation, maintenance, and stability of site equipment such as RBS, Node-B, and transmission equipment within the assigned region.
2. Key Responsibilities
Accountable for the infrastructure within the assigned region
Accountable for acceptance of new site deployments within the allocated region
Accountable for rectification of hardware issues within the assigned region
Accountable for storage, control, and allocation of spare parts for the region
Accountable for all site-related works performed within the allocated area
Ensure proper execution of preventive and corrective maintenance activities
Coordinate and supervise subcontractor activities
Ensure compliance with safety and operational standards
Produce reports related to contracted KPIs (e.g., Mean Time to Repair)
Escalate issues in accordance with agreed procedures and timelines
Handle trouble tickets, work orders, and change requests
Report on network incidents and outages
3. Technical Competencies
Knowledge of telecom networks including 2G, 4G, 5G, and transmission networks
Understanding of multi-vendor telecom equipment operations
Ensure 24/7 field maintenance support availability
Experience in managing subcontractor activities
Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for site hardware performance issues
Conduct quality checks and routine maintenance to ensure site safety compliance
Support Front Office, Back Office, and vendor teams as required
Ensure adherence to occupational health and safety regulations
Strong knowledge of fault management, troubleshooting, and RCA processes
Ability to manage incident, change, and work order processes
Generate technical and operational reports for network performance

5 Candidate Prerequisites (Experience & Qualification)
Qualification:
Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications Engineering or equivalent
Experience:
Minimum 6 years of experience in a similar field services / telecom maintenance role
