Ms Core and Cloud Specialist

The client is looking for an Ms Core and Cloud Specialist to work in Saudi Arabia.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform daily health checks and monitor alarms on Packet Core network elements (MME, SGSN, GGSN, EPG, PCC/PCG, SAPC, SMF/UPF, etc.).
• Troubleshoot and resolve network faults, performance degradation, and capacity issues.
• Manage subscriber sessions, PDP contexts, bearer establishment, and IMSI tracing.
• Implement new APNs, IMSI ranges, rating groups, and QoS profiles.
• Configure PCC rules and policies including PDR, QER, FAR, URR, and integrate with PCRF/SAPC.
• Manage DNS/NAPTR/SRV configurations for IMS and EPC service continuity.
• Support integration and deployment of new Packet Core nodes, including virtualized/cloud-native components (vEPG, vMME, vUPF) on cloud or Kubernetes platforms.
• Plan and execute software upgrades, security patches, and capacity expansions.
• Analyze and report on KPI trends such as attach success rate, bearer setup time, handover success, latency, and throughput.
• Develop and maintain automation and analysis scripts using Bash, Python, Expect, and AWK.

Required Skills & Competencies:

• In-depth knowledge of Packet Core network elements such as SGSN-MME, EPG (GGSN/PGW/SGW), PCC/PCG, SAPC, DRA, SMF/UPF.
• Strong understanding of 2G/3G/4G/5G call flows, including Attach, TAU/RAU, Handover, and Session Management.
• Solid grasp of telecom protocols including GTP-C/U, Diameter, Radius, HTTP/2, SIP, SCTP, TCP/UDP/IP.
• Experience with virtualization and container platforms such as VMware, OpenStack, Kubernetes, and Docker.
• Proficient in using CLI tools and command environments for network element configuration and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with OSS/BSS platforms, network management tools, and monitoring systems (e.g., NetAct, ENM, ENIQ, Wireshark).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to perform under pressure during high-priority incidents.
• Effective communication and documentation skills to support cross-functional collaboration.
