Microwave Quality Manager

The client is looking for a Microwave Quality Manager to work a 6-month rolling contract based in South Africa (Johannesburg).

The Microwave Quality Manager is a critical leadership role responsible for the end-to-end quality management of all microwave projects across South Africa. Based in Johannesburg, you will develop, implement, and enforce stringent quality standards, processes, and procedures for the entire MW project lifecycle from planning and deployment to commissioning and maintenance. Your focus will be on ensuring all MW links are built to specification, perform optimally, and meet both internal KPIs and client SLAs, thereby guaranteeing network reliability and performance, Experienced  in microwave equipment installation and commissioning in South Africa,  including microwave equipment of Huawei, Ericsson, and Aviat, etc.

Key Responsibilities:

• Quality Management System (QMS) Development & Implementation.
• Develop, document, and maintain a comprehensive Quality Management System specific to microwave transmission projects.
• Define and implement standardized quality processes, checklists, and procedures for site acceptance, path alignment, equipment installation, and testing.
• Ensure all quality standards comply with relevant industry standards and client-specific requirements.

Quality Control & Assurance:

• Manage and control the quality for all MW projects nationally, ensuring consistency and excellence from inception to completion.
• Establish Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Quality Benchmarks for MW projects and contractors.
• Conduct regular audits and inspections of active project sites across all regions to verify compliance with quality standards, installation guidelines, and health & safety protocols.
• Oversee the quality of all MW equipment installation, including antenna alignment, waveguide pressurization, grounding, and weatherproofing.
