Role Overview

The Senior Software Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and delivering high-quality, scalable, secure, and reliable software solutions. The role serves as a technical expert within engineering teams, providing guidance on software development practices, architecture, system design, and engineering excellence.

Senior Software Engineers translate business and technical requirements into effective technology solutions while owning complex modules, integrations, and platforms within the enterprise technology environment.

The role requires strong technical leadership, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and a commitment to delivering maintainable, high-performing software solutions aligned with engineering standards and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

1. Software Design & Development

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performance applications and services.
• Translate business requirements and technical specifications into robust software architecture and clean, maintainable code.
• Develop solutions using modern engineering practices, including:
  • CI/CD
  • Test-Driven Development (TDD)
  • Behaviour-Driven Development (BDD)
  • DevOps practices
  • Cloud-native development
• Contribute to application architecture, technical designs, and engineering roadmaps.
• Ensure software solutions meet performance, security, scalability, and reliability requirements.

2. Technical Leadership & Mentorship

• Act as a technical mentor and provide guidance to junior and mid-level engineers.
• Lead code reviews, technical discussions, and solution design workshops.
• Establish and promote coding standards, design patterns, and engineering best practices.
• Provide technical input into project planning, estimation, and delivery activities.
• Support knowledge sharing and continuous improvement within engineering teams.

3. Systems Integration & Collaboration

• Collaborate with backend, frontend, mobile, integration, DevOps, architecture, and product teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
• Work closely with Product Managers and Architects to refine requirements and define technical solutions.
• Design and implement system integrations using appropriate architecture patterns.
• Ensure solutions align with enterprise engineering standards, security requirements, governance frameworks, and compliance obligations.

4. Quality, Testing & Security

• Develop and maintain unit, integration, and performance testing practices.
• Ensure software solutions are reliable, maintainable, and production-ready.
• Apply secure coding practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Collaborate with QA and DevOps teams to support:

• Identify and resolve performance, reliability, and scalability issues.

Educational Qualifications

Essential

• Bachelor’s degree in:
