Manager: Scrum Master API

Job Purpose

The Scrum Master will be responsible for facilitating agile ceremonies, coaching teams on agile principles, removing impediments, and ensuring delivery excellence across multiple squads. This role supports the delivery of high-impact digital products and services aligned with the organisation’s strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies: Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
• Guide and coach the team on Agile/Scrum practices and values.
• Remove impediments and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
• Track and report team metrics (velocity, burndown charts, etc.) to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Product Owners to ensure a well-groomed and prioritised backlog.
• Support cross-functional coordination and dependency management.
• Champion agile adoption across the organisation and mentor junior Scrum Masters.
• Ensure alignment with enterprise delivery frameworks and governance.

Required Skills & Experience

• 3+ years of experience as a Scrum Master in a technology or fintech environment.
• Strong understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe).
• Experience working with APIs, microservices, and digital channels is a plus.
• Proficiency in Agile tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence).
• Excellent facilitation, coaching, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication abilities.
• Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM I/II) preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field.
• Agile certifications (Scrum Master, SAFe Agilist, PMI-ACP) are advantageous.
