The client is looking for an IT Governance and Privacy Consultant to work a 12 month (extendable) contract in Dubai, UAE.
Role Overview:
The client is seeking an experienced IT Governance and Privacy Consultant to support their digital transformation and compliance initiatives. The consultant will play a key role in strengthening IT governance frameworks, ensuring compliance with data privacy regulations, and aligning technology practices with corporate and healthcare industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain IT governance frameworks, policies, and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with UAE data protection regulations, GDPR, HIPAA, and healthcare-specific privacy requirements.
- Conduct privacy impact assessments (PIAs) and advise on risk mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate with IT, legal, and compliance teams to establish data governance processes.
- Drive awareness and training programs on privacy, governance, and regulatory compliance.
- Monitor compliance with contractual, regulatory, and internal standards across IT systems.
Requirements:
- 7+ years’ experience in IT Governance, Privacy, or Information Security.
- Strong knowledge of global and regional data protection regulations (GDPR, UAE PDPL, HIPAA preferred).
- Experience working in or with healthcare organizations (advantageous).
- Relevant certifications (CIPM, CIPP/E, CISM, ISO 27001 Lead Implementer, COBIT).
- Strong analytical, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
