The client is looking for an IT Governance and Privacy Consultant to work a 12 month (extendable) contract in Dubai, UAE.

 

Role Overview:

The client is seeking an experienced IT Governance and Privacy Consultant to support their digital transformation and compliance initiatives. The consultant will play a key role in strengthening IT governance frameworks, ensuring compliance with data privacy regulations, and aligning technology practices with corporate and healthcare industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain IT governance frameworks, policies, and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with UAE data protection regulations, GDPR, HIPAA, and healthcare-specific privacy requirements.
  • Conduct privacy impact assessments (PIAs) and advise on risk mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborate with IT, legal, and compliance teams to establish data governance processes.
  • Drive awareness and training programs on privacy, governance, and regulatory compliance.
  • Monitor compliance with contractual, regulatory, and internal standards across IT systems.

Requirements:

  • 7+ years’ experience in IT Governance, Privacy, or Information Security.
  • Strong knowledge of global and regional data protection regulations (GDPR, UAE PDPL, HIPAA preferred).
  • Experience working in or with healthcare organizations (advantageous).
  • Relevant certifications (CIPM, CIPP/E, CISM, ISO 27001 Lead Implementer, COBIT).
  • Strong analytical, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
