IMS Performance Engineer

Performance – IMS Analysis Engineer will be responsible for Mobile Core Network IMS network analysis (on-demand/short-term/long-term), providing relevant support to technical and customer teams, and developing team reports/tools/processes to achieve core performance delivery under managed service projects.

Technical Experience:

• MSC-S, MSC-BC, STP, MGW, HLR-FE, HSS-FE, CUDB.
• SGSN, MME, GGSN, EPG, SAPC, IPWorks, SSR.
• IMS nodes: P-CSCF, I-CSCF, S-CSCF, MTAS, TAS, SBC, ATCF, MRF, MGCF, BGCF, LRF, ENUM/DNS.
• IMS interfaces: Cx, Dx, Sh, Mw, Gm, Rx, Mg, Mi, Mj, Zh/Zx.
• Protocols: SIP, SDP, RTP/RTCP, Diameter (Cx/Dx/Sh/Rx/Gx).
• Cloud overview: Virtual and cloud-native environments (OpenStack, Kubernetes, Docker, containerization).
• Signaling: ISUP, BICC, MAP, CAP, SIP, H.248, IP, Diameter.
• CS/PS: Iu, A, S1, S5, S6a, SGS, Gi, S4/S11, S1-C/U, Gx, Gy.
• Use of statistics tools, databases, and UIs to collect data, build KPIs, and visualize reports.
• Building performance management and audit reports, BI reports (Tableau, Power BI, Qlik), with AI/ML concepts.
• E2E call-flow-based analysis and studies to improve network performance.
• Mobile network performance analysis (ad-hoc/short-term/long-term), demarcation, root cause analysis, tuning & improvement, and special events.
• Backup, follow-up, support, and alignment with performance assurance functionality.
• Data processing/development: SQL, VBA, Python, Linux shell.
• MS Office: Excel, PowerPoint, and Word to develop high-quality technical and executive reports.
