Job Description

  • Provide technical authority and subject-matter expertise for the IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) domain across network design, delivery, implementation, and operations.
  • Own and maintain IMS solution governance, ensuring architectures, configurations, integrations, and network changes comply with established technical standards and industry best practices.
  • Review, validate, and approve IMS designs, upgrades, integrations, and major configuration changes across IMS Core, SBC, TAS, HSS/UDM, PCRF/PCF, and related platforms.
  • Support network delivery and change-management activities by conducting technical assessments, risk analysis, and service-impact analysis.
  • Act as the senior technical escalation point for complex IMS incidents, service-affecting issues, performance degradation, and recurring network problems.
  • Perform troubleshooting, technical analysis, and root-cause analysis of complex IMS issues and develop appropriate corrective and preventive actions.
  • Ensure IMS solutions meet required standards for availability, scalability, resilience, security, performance, and service-level requirements.
  • Provide technical expertise across key IMS protocols and interfaces, including SIP, Diameter, RTP, HTTP, and REST APIs.
  • Provide hands-on technical support and expertise for IMS core network elements, including CSCF, SBC, TAS, HSS/UDM, ENUM, and associated platforms.
  • Support and maintain IMS-based services, including VoLTE, VoWiFi, and other IP-based communication services in large-scale telecommunications environments.
  • Conduct technical design reviews, change impact assessments, capacity assessments, and failure analysis for IMS solutions and services.
  • Evaluate network architecture, redundancy, high-availability mechanisms, capacity requirements, and resilience strategies to ensure service continuity.
  • Collaborate with network engineering, delivery, operations, SNOC, IT, vendors, and other technical teams to ensure successful implementation and resolution of complex technical issues.
  • Translate business, customer, and service requirements into scalable, secure, reliable, and technically robust IMS solutions.
  • Provide technical guidance during major projects, network expansions, migrations, upgrades, and service launches.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying architectural, operational, and performance enhancements across the IMS environment.
