Health & Safety Consultant

The client is looking for a Health & Safety Consultant (Solar Industry) to work a 12 month rolling contracts based in South Africa (Sandton).

Must have:

• A recognized SHE qualification from an Institute. e.g. SACPCMP

Developing:

• Effective SHE Corporate Governance
• Structuring a Compliant Organisation
• Creating the Right Culture for Compliance
• Compliance Risk Management Planning
• Monitoring and Reporting

Job Description:

• Communication and implementation of SHE policies
• Statutory Compliance on all SHE regulations, norms, ailments, and standards
• Reduction in on site incidents related to health risks, hazards and accidents
• Reduction in environmental impact
• Creating culture of safety and appreciation for environment
• Supply SHE Training
• Effective operation reports
• Implementation of environmental best practices

Key Skills & Job Scope:

• SHE evaluation of Subcons for onboarding.
• Handling daily site work independently.
• Managing SHE site Managers & Labour training.
• Attending site meetings if required.
• Implementation & monitoring of SHE Management System according to International Standards (ISO).
• Implementation of Corporate Systems & Procedures at Project sites
• Including customer requirements (contractual).
• Implementation of SHE Policy, guidelines, procedures & compliance to legal requirements to establish a real culture of Environment, Health, and Safety etc.
