Job Description

The client is looking for a number of Field Riggers (Ericsson Equipment) to work a 6 month rolling contract based in Johannesburg (South Africa).

Overall purpose:

  • The main purpose of the role, Rigger, is to have a clear appointed responsible person for the tower installation process including planning, progress, quality performance, acceptance criteria and safety standards on each site.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and review relevant Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) to manage and improve overall project performance.
  • Implement agreed improvement plans to address variance between planned and actual progress and KPI performance.
  • To supervise service providers to ensure that safe methods of working are in place.
  • To actively encourage safety awareness and good practices among all service providers.
  • To plan, supervise and undertake quality audits on the onsite delivery, installation and commissioning of the tower on a site-by-site basis in line with the agreed Civil Works process.
  • To actively monitor and manage service provider’s quality performance during tower delivery, installation and commissioning to ensure compliance with project quality plan for civil works.
  • To monitor and manage the site quality auditing and test and inspection plan in line with the agreed Civil Works process specifically for tower installation.

Please note: The client can only consider consultants with a valid L2 or L3 Rope access certificate (Please supply copy when applying) – If you have L1 Rope Access you must have 1,000+ hours logged of abseiling.
