Job Description
The client is looking for a E2E Packet Core Architect (Nokia Equipment) to work a 3 month rolling contract (remote working can be considered).
The proposed scope of work:
- Design Review against latest features available in the Product (CMG and CMM) for recovery
- Proposal of Enhancements and optimizations focusing on the following areas: Features to be enabled that are not in use in today’s network (ICR, UE context redundancy on AMF)
- Cluster Topology enhancements (smaller clusters?)
Second Round discussion:
- Resilience / redundancy principles related to timers and configurations, traffic steering, load balancing, IP Pool management etc.
- Recommendations on site design/topology, on how the capacity and services will be distributed for services like FWA, Mobile broadband, IoT etc.
- Propose vEPC evolution based on features, roadmap—to be able to increase scale and availability for different traffic profiles/services.
- Consider enterprise requirements, and evolution of solutions like local break out.
- Handling of APNs for enterprises.
- IoT capacity and evolution.
Further points to discuss:
- Follow up on proposed updates in the scope, resource availability and timing
- Formulate key questions to address in the study—covering design questions and network evolution
- Identify key stakeholders and involvement—specially product line (Nokia), and development/architecture strategy (CSP)
- Identify adjacent topics to incorporate in the analysis(User plane edge, Core as a service, FWA, Enterprise use cases etc.)
Please note:
- The customer is based in Sweden and you would be required to attend customer meeting if requested. Predicted 1 trip per month. All travel expense would be reimbursed.
- Due to the urgency we can only consider EU passport holders.
