Design Coordinator

The client is looking for a Design Coordinator to work in the Kingdom Of Saudi Arabia.

Job Summary:

The client is seeking a Design Coordinator (Electrical/Electro-Mechanical) with hands-on experience in Indoor Building Solution (IBS) infrastructure projects. The role involves comprehensive design review and coordination for Civil, Electrical, and Electro-Mechanical works, ensuring compliance with project specifications and standards. The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of American design codes, RF design principles, and possess strong coordination and documentation skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review Final Design Engineering Documents (FDED) and site-specific IBS design drawings/calculations including:
  • Architectural
  • Civil
  • Electrical (AC/DC power)
  • Electro-Mechanical (HVAC/Fire Protection)
• Provide QC comments on design documents and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
• Coordinate with design consultants, contractors, and customer design teams for approvals.
• Prepare detailed site-specific scope of works and BOQs for Civil, Electrical, and Electro-Mechanical works.
• Analyze and respond to customer comments on design submittals; resubmit FDED until final approval.
• Track and update the status of CFDED (Civil Final Detailed Engineering Design) submittals and approvals.
• Ensure all CFDED submissions meet project specs, customer requirements, and SLA targets.
• Maintain documentation of approved and rejected designs; report to Design Manager.
• Attend joint site visits with customers, contractors, and project teams for technical assessments.
• Conduct technical meetings, design reviews, and quality checks for CFDEDs and project scopes.
• Contribute to model creation (NFTS), SoW (Scope of Work) generation, and documentation processes.
• Perform site surveys and provide technical solutions for IBS CME (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical) parts.
• Ensure implementation on-site aligns with approved designs and BOQs.
• Create estimation BOQs based on RF design inputs and site-specific data.
• Work collaboratively in team environments and adapt quickly to project tools and processes.
• Upload designs/as-builts to systems (e.g., SQL-FIS) and support CPAT documentation requirements.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in Electrical/Electro-Mechanical design review, especially in IBS infrastructure projects.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and MS Office tools.
• Strong knowledge of American design standards and codes.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.
• Experience in working with multi-disciplinary teams including design consultants, customers, and contractors.
• Detail-oriented with strong documentation and reporting capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with indoor RF solutions and IBS RF design principles.
• Experience with project documentation systems (SQL, NE Tool, FIS, CPAT, etc.).
• Exposure to HVAC and Fire Protection system design review.
