Job Description
The client is looking for a Data Scientist Senior Manager to work Full-Time in Dubai, UAE.
Responsibilities:
Data Strategy & Infrastructure:
- Collaborate with IT and technology teams to enhance data pipelines, governance, and infrastructure for advanced analytics tools, initially focusing on revenue management.
- Design and oversee the development of revenue management tools and data infrastructure, managing multiple solution providers.
- Define and enforce data standards, quality measures, and reporting consistency across the commercial organization.
- Identify and integrate new data streams to improve the accuracy and efficiency of algorithms and models.
- Ensure the quality, integrity, and accessibility of key data sources to support business decision-making.
- Promote a data-driven culture across all business units by aligning analytics with strategic and operational goals.
- Act as a thought leader on emerging data science trends, tools, and applications within the travel, hospitality, and leisure sectors.
- Build and lead a high-performing data science team (from year two onward).
Revenue Management Strategy:
- Partner with commercial teams to develop data-driven tools for forecasting, pricing, product mix, inventory, and channel optimization.
- Support dynamic pricing and demand management initiatives through automation and real-time analytics.
- Develop and deploy algorithms to optimize channel mix, distribution strategy, and profitability.
- Build recommendation engines for upselling, cross-selling, and dynamic product packaging.
- Drive the adoption of analytical tools by ensuring users understand their functionality and business logic.
- Gather user feedback to guide continuous improvement and prioritize future tool enhancements.
What Makes You a Great Fit:
Education & Functional Competencies:
- 3–5 years of experience in data science, advanced analytics, or quantitative consulting.
- Strong expertise in big data platforms, predictive modeling, and data engineering.
- Proven ability to drive measurable commercial and operational impact through data science initiatives.
- Experience in revenue management or demand forecasting is an advantage.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, or a related quantitative discipline.
Key Competencies & Personality:
- Strong analytical and quantitative reasoning skills.
- Proficiency in building and deploying analytical models using modern data tools and programming techniques.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex models to non-technical audiences.
- Skilled in handling large and complex datasets to generate actionable insights.
- Familiarity with modern data science methodologies for automation, modeling, and visualization.
Technical Skills:
- Programming: Python, SQL.
- Cloud / Data Engineering: AWS (S3), Azure, Databricks.
- Visualization / BI Tools: Power BI, Tableau.
