Cloud Platform Operations Engineer

The client is looking for a Cloud Platform Operations Engineer to join their team in Mexico.

Key Responsibilities:

• Take ownership of configuration management, monitoring, and routine inspection of critical data center infrastructure (servers, network switches) to ensure high availability.
• Troubleshoot cloud platform issues and provide technical support to customers.
• Perform end-to-end operations and maintenance of private cloud platforms, ensuring high availability, performance, and security.
• Monitor system health, investigate incidents, and implement proactive optimization measures.
• Prepare regular operational reports covering system status, resource utilization, and key KPIs.
• Collaborate with internal teams and clients to ensure stable and efficient cloud service delivery.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in cloud services or cloud operations.
• Proficient in English as a working language.
• Strong Linux system knowledge.
• Experience with scripting languages such as Shell, Perl, MySQL, or Python is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of IDC, networking, storage, and DNS; system or network security experience is preferred.
• Familiarity with cloud computing technologies.
• Previous experience supporting cloud vendors or overseas working experience is an advantage.
• Strong communication skills, sense of ownership, fast learner, and excellent documentation ability.
• Proactive, self-driven, with strong problem-solving and risk identification skills.
