Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to design, implement, manage, and optimize cloud-native infrastructure solutions and Network Functions Virtualization Infrastructure (NFVI). The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring scalable, reliable, secure, and high-performing cloud environments that support virtualized network functions and critical business applications. This role requires expertise in cloud platforms, automation, virtualization, networking, and infrastructure management.

Key Responsibilities
1. Cloud Infrastructure Management
Design, deploy, maintain, and support cloud-native infrastructure platforms and NFVI environments for virtualized workloads.
Ensure cloud infrastructure delivers high availability, scalability, multi-tenancy, and enterprise-grade reliability.
Monitor and manage infrastructure performance, capacity, and resource utilization.
2. Platform Optimization
Optimize the performance, integration, and lifecycle management of compute, storage, and networking components.
Manage virtualization platforms and operating systems within the infrastructure architecture.
Conduct performance tuning and capacity planning to meet business and operational requirements.
3. Automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
Develop and maintain automation scripts using Python and other relevant technologies.
Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or equivalent platforms.
Automate deployment, configuration management, monitoring, and scaling processes to improve operational efficiency.
4. Network and Hardware Integration
Configure and integrate networking equipment, switches, storage systems, and server hardware within cloud environments.
Ensure seamless connectivity and interoperability between infrastructure components.
Support both control plane and data plane integration requirements.
5. Operations, Support, and Troubleshooting
Provide technical support and troubleshooting for cloud infrastructure, virtualization, and network-related issues.
Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to maintain service reliability.
Participate in incident management, maintenance activities, and system upgrades.
6. Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including network, application, operations, and engineering teams.
Support infrastructure requirements for next-generation technologies, including 5G, IoT, and cloud-native applications.
Contribute to solution design reviews and infrastructure planning initiatives.
7. Documentation and Compliance
Maintain accurate technical documentation, architecture diagrams, procedures, and operational guidelines.
Ensure adherence to industry standards, security policies, and best practices for cloud infrastructure management.
Support audit and compliance requirements where applicable.

Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.

Experience
Minimum 3 years of experience in cloud infrastructure engineering, virtualization, or NFVI environments.
Hands-on experience with cloud-native infrastructure platforms and virtualized environments.
Experience with automation and scripting tools such as Python, Ansible, Terraform, or equivalent.
Experience supporting enterprise or telecommunications-grade infrastructure environments is preferred.

Technical Skills
Strong knowledge of virtualization technologies such as OpenStack, VMware, Kubernetes, or similar platforms.
Understanding of cloud infrastructure architecture, networking principles, and storage technologies.
Experience with infrastructure automation, orchestration, and configuration management.
Familiarity with multi-tenant architectures, high-availability designs, and disaster recovery concepts.
Knowledge of Linux operating systems and cloud-native technologies.
