The client is looking for a Cloud Business Development Manager (E-commerce & Retail) to work in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

About the Position:

The client is looking for a dynamic and experienced Cloud Business Development Manager (E-commerce & Retail) to drive growth and strengthen relationships with their top-tier cloud clients in the e-commerce and retail sectors. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying market opportunities, building long-term partnerships, executing go-to-market strategies and ensuring client success through tailored cloud solutions. You will act as a key point of contact for clients, while working cross-functionally—especially with internal teams such as finance and legal—to deliver business value and scalable solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead cloud business development in the E-commerce & Retail sectors with a focus on banking and digital commerce clients.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (especially finance and account departments) to execute business initiatives and formulate work plans.
  • Develop and manage business forecasts, track key performance metrics and evaluate the success of promotional efforts and new opportunities.
  • Drive cloud product adoption and revenue growth by leveraging industry expertise and strong client relationships.
  • Understand client business needs and work alongside legal teams to manage agreements and long-term engagements.
  • Build and maintain strategic partnerships with key decision-makers in the e-commerce and retail ecosystem.
  • Serve as the voice of the customer internally and help shape product and service development through insights and feedback.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in sales, business development, client management or partner/channel management within cloud services or SaaS.
  • Deep understanding of the e-commerce and retail digital transformation journey, with hands-on experience leading or supporting such initiatives.
  • Strong network and relationships in the regional e-commerce and retail sector.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; fluent in English (written and spoken).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working at top cloud service providers such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, Oracle Cloud.
  • Background as a reseller partner in cloud services, especially focused on Saudi Arabia’s e-commerce and retail industry.
  • Strategic thinker with strong execution skills and the ability to drive innovation in client solutions.
  • Proven track record in sales or operations management, with success in meeting or exceeding quotas and launching new solutions in market.
  • Solid knowledge of cloud technologies and experience in successfully winning and delivering enterprise cloud projects.
  • Strong business acumen with competitive insight into other cloud offerings.
  • Ability to balance strategic client relationships with tactical commercial delivery (including P&L management).
  • Experience in data analytics and the ability to extract insights to inform client strategy is a plus.
  • Proficient in summarizing and presenting complex business challenges to senior stakeholders.
  • Motivated, adaptable and able to excel in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
  • Proficiency in Arabic is a strong advantage.
  • Willing and able to travel regularly for client meetings and industry events.
