Civil Rollout Manager

The client is looking for a Civil Rollout Manager to work a 3 month rolling contract based in South Africa (Johannesburg).

Role Overview:

The client is seeking an experienced Civil Rollout Manager to oversee and drive the successful delivery of telecom civil infrastructure projects across South Africa. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing subcontractors, ensuring construction quality, coordinating with customers on standards and acceptance criteria, and maintaining project delivery schedules.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and coordinate subcontractor teams to ensure civil works are completed in line with project plans, timelines, and quality standards.
• Oversee the execution of telecom site civil works, ensuring compliance with customer requirements and industry best practices.
• Liaise with customers and stakeholders to agree on construction methodologies, civil standards, and site acceptance criteria.
• Monitor project progress, identify risks and delays, and implement corrective actions to maintain delivery targets.
• Conduct regular site inspections and quality audits to ensure all civil works meet contractual and technical specifications.
• Manage subcontractor performance, productivity, and adherence to health, safety, and environmental requirements.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation, progress reports, and acceptance records.
• Support project closeout activities, including customer acceptance and handover processes.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience managing telecom civil works projects, preferably within mobile network rollout environments.
• Proven experience overseeing subcontractors and field construction teams.
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams of 5 or more personnel.
• Strong understanding of telecom site construction, infrastructure deployment, and site acceptance processes.
