Job Description:

The client is looking for a skilled and experienced Charging Systems Engineer to join their telecom operations in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role is pivotal in designing, configuring, and maintaining the Ericsson Charging System infrastructure that supports GSM operators. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring system performance, network optimization, and seamless business configuration for intelligent networks (IN).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Configure, troubleshoot, and monitor IN network performance.
  • Act on network and equipment issues escalated from network surveillance.
  • Perform routine system health checks and monitor performance KPIs.
  • Maintain software and hardware status to ensure uninterrupted operations.
  • Analyze and resolve complex network and service issues.
  • Implement configuration changes including tariffs, service classes, and service logic.
  • Participate in technical team meetings and support system integration activities.
  • Support 24/7 operations through on-call rotations.

Technical Skills & Experience:

  • Telecom Networks: In-depth knowledge of GSM/WCDMA mobile technologies.
  • Ericsson Charging System Nodes: Experience working with SDP, AIR, CCN, OCC, NGVS, ECE, ECNMT, NeLS.
  • System Administration: Proficiency in Linux OS, UNIX shell scripting, Python.
  • Databases: SQL and Oracle.
  • Networking: Strong grasp of IP protocols and packet analysis tools (e.g., Wireshark).
  • Architecture Knowledge: Familiarity with call flows and SDP geo-redundancy setup.
  • Proven ability to handle and troubleshoot complex network issues efficiently.

  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work in high-pressure environments.
  • A proactive and detail-oriented mindset.

Work Schedule:

  • Full-time position with 24×7 on-call support as part of rotational shifts.
