Job Description

The client is looking for a Charging System Engineer to work in Saudi Arabia.

Role Overview:

The Charging System Engineer is a critical role responsible for designing and maintaining the business configuration of GSM operators. This includes configuring and optimizing the performance of the IN network, ensuring system health, and resolving issues according to standards. The role also involves managing network changes, analysing performance reports, and supporting system integration.

Key Skills and Experience:

  • Mobile technologies (GSM/WCDMA)
  • Experience in charging system nodes: SDP, AIR, CCN, OCC, NGVS, ECE, ECNMT, NeLS
  • System administration: Linux OS, Unix Shell scripting, Python, SQL, and Oracle Databases
  • Good knowledge of IP networking protocols
  • Understanding of all call flows
  • Knowledge of SDP Geo-redundancy setup
  • Expertise in handling complex network problems
  • Proficient in Wireshark

Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot, configure, and monitor IN network performance
  • Act on network and equipment issues escalated from surveillance
  • Identify and escalate system problems
  • Perform routine health checks
  • Maintain SW/HW status and ensure smooth operations
  • Monitor performance parameters and handle degradations
  • Resolve service/network issues per agreed timing and standards
  • Attend technical team meetings for IN activities
  • Implement tariff, service class, and configuration changes
  • Participate in 24×7 on-call rotations
