Business / Data Analyst

The Business / Data Analyst is responsible for gathering, analyzing, and translating business requirements into actionable insights, data models, KPIs, and reporting solutions. The role supports data-driven decision-making through advanced analytics, dashboard development, reporting automation, and collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
Gather, analyze, and document business requirements using structured formats, including data dictionaries and business glossaries.
Translate business needs into measurable KPIs, data models, and reporting frameworks.
Develop and optimize complex SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and validation.
Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards using Power BI or similar business intelligence tools.
Perform detailed data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and actionable business insights.
Ensure data accuracy and integrity through validation, reconciliation, and data quality frameworks.
Automate reporting processes and workflows using SQL, Power Automate, and Excel.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Finance, Sales, Operations, and IT to support business objectives.
Support financial and operational reporting, including P&L analysis, forecasting, and performance tracking.
Present analytical findings and recommendations clearly and effectively to stakeholders at various levels.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, Data Analytics, or a related field.
5–8 years of experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, or Business Analysis roles.
Strong expertise in SQL, including joins, aggregations, query optimization, and performance tuning (mandatory).
Advanced Power BI skills, including DAX, data modeling, and dashboard development.
Experience working with ERP and CRM systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms.
Strong understanding of data modeling concepts, including star schema design and relationship management.
Experience in maintaining structured documentation and implementing data quality frameworks.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
