BI Engineer (Power BI Specialist)

We are seeking an experienced BI Engineer specializing in Power BI to support enterprise reporting and analytics initiatives. This role focuses on developing interactive dashboards, modernizing legacy reporting solutions, and delivering trusted insights that enable data-driven decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards for operational, clinical, and executive reporting.
• Migrate legacy reports and KPI dashboards from existing reporting platforms into scalable Power BI solutions.
• Consume enterprise Gold Layer star schema models to build efficient semantic models and DAX calculations.
• Develop optimized datasets that support governed self-service analytics.
• Apply modern visualization and dashboard design principles to improve usability and user experience.
• Collaborate with Analytics Engineers and business stakeholders to ensure reporting accuracy and consistency.
• Validate data and troubleshoot reporting discrepancies using SQL.

Technical Requirements

• Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Power BI (Desktop, Service, and Report Builder).
• Advanced DAX (Data Analysis Expressions).
• Strong SQL skills for data validation and troubleshooting.
• Good understanding of dimensional modeling, star schemas, and Power BI relationship management.
• Demonstrated experience migrating complex reporting environments into modern Power BI platforms.
• Strong knowledge of data visualization best practices and dashboard design principles.
