Automated Operations Engineer

The client is looking for an Automated Operations Engineer to work in The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

About the Role:

The client is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Automated Operations Engineer to join their dynamic team in Riyadh. This role is critical in coordinating, supporting, and executing 1st Level proactive and reactive maintenance activities. Your efforts will ensure consistent service availability and high performance, in line with established Service Level Agreements (SLAs). Key Responsibilities:

• Perform 1st Level Service Monitoring and Event Management.
• Handle Service and Resource Alarms.
• Monitor Resource and Service Performance.
• Respond to network alerts and escalate critical issues that impact network KPIs.
• Conduct initial checks and troubleshoot customer-related network complaints.
• Follow up on critical and major incidents to ensure timely resolution.
• Prepare and upload handover (HO) reports during designated shifts.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve network issues and enhance performance.
• Work on a rotational shift basis, including nights and public holidays (e.g., Eid, National Day).

Qualifications & Skills:

• 1–3 years of experience in Telecom or IT, preferably in network operations.
• Knowledge of databases and Unix Shell scripting.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java/Groovy, PHP, JavaScript, and Python.
• Solid understanding of Linux hardware and basic knowledge of RAN, Transmission, and Core Network operations.
• Experience in 24/7 real-time network monitoring.
• Ability to effectively handle customer complaints and ensure proper follow-up.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to incident management.
