Job Description

The client is looking for a Field Mentor (5 Positions) to work in Saudi Arabia.

Role Overview:

The Field Mentor will be responsible for training, supervising, and supporting ASP teams on-site to ensure compliance with project and customer quality standards. This role involves coaching, monitoring site readiness, troubleshooting, and ensuring adherence to EHS and project requirements.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Attend sites with ASP teams for training and coaching.
  • Address identified gaps from ASP Mentor during theoretical & practical training.
  • Provide daily progress reports to ASP Manager & Mentor.
  • Verify site readiness (Civil & Power works).
  • Ensure ASP teams verify site survey data onsite.
  • Confirm materials delivered match SMR and report deviations.
  • Ensure team readiness for EHS pre-work checks.
  • Oversee site installation as per MOPs, project documentation, and customer standards.
  • Support on-site commissioning and troubleshooting with back-office integration.
  • Ensure all required data/photos are uploaded in RSC Pre-PAT FTR sessions.
  • Ensure snags/observations from RSC QA/FTR sessions are resolved.
  • Confirm SRS and IMK/ESI tests are performed and logs sent to project team.
  • Support material dismantling and packing.
  • Assist ASP team in customer site acceptance.
  • Supervise, manage & train ASP team installation practices covering RF and Transmission fault finding (VSWR, sector swaps, tilts, connectors, cabling, integration & testing).
  • Perform quality checks and audits for team performance and knowledge.
  • Identify and report risks related to H&S, workflow, quality, and performance.
  • Ensure team KPIs are achieved (Quality, Safety, Standards, Duration).

Background & Experience:

Radio Knowledge:

  • RBS 6000 Installation, script loading, alarm clearance, fault finding.
  • Transmission knowledge (preferred).
  • RF installation, fault finding & testing (VSWR/DTF).
  • Civil background & quality.
  • Technical site surveys & TSSR.
  • Telecommunications equipment installation standards.
  • Basic software commissioning.

Transmission Knowledge (additional advantage):

  • Equipment: Mini Link TN, 20P, 20PB, 6P, MMU, 6600 series.
  • MW Antenna (0.3m to 1.2m+).
  • MW link installation, commissioning & troubleshooting.
  • Configurations (1+0, 2+0, 2+2, 4+0 etc.).
  • VLAN configurations.

Personal Competencies:

  • EHS compliance with valid certifications (Risk Assessment, Medical Fitness, Working at Height, Defensive Driving, First Aid, Fire Fighting).
  • Strong communication & interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to quickly learn new tools and processes.
  • Proactive mindset with Change Management understanding.
  • Strong presentation skills (oral & written).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Creativity, problem-solving & innovation.
  • Determination, adaptability & responsiveness to new information.
  • Team-oriented with willingness to learn.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering / Technical Trade Certification.
  • Accredited certification (e.g., wireman’s license, networking, programming).
  • 3–5 years’ field experience in installation, integration & troubleshooting.
  • NQF level 4 qualification with RAN/Transmission experience.
  • Laptop required for reporting & tasks.
  • Valid EHS field certifications.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.

Preferences:

  • Arabic/Urdu speaking.
  • Valid Iqama/Business visa for KSA.
  • Driving license for KSA.
  • Valid EHS certifications.
  • Dual experience (RAN & TRM).
