QA Engineer

The client is looking for a QA Engineer – Web & Mobile Applications (Angular/Node.js) to work a 3 Month remote contract (Must be within ±2 hours of UAE time zone).

Job description:

The client is seeking an experienced QA Engineer to join their team on a 3-month remote contract. You will be responsible for ensuring the high quality of their web and mobile applications built using Angular (front-end) and Node.js (back-end) technologies. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in both manual and automated testing, with a strong understanding of modern QA processes and tools for web and mobile environments. You’ll work closely with their developers, designers and product managers to drive quality across the development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define and execute test plans, test cases and test scripts for web and mobile applications.
• Perform manual testing of UI, API and end-to-end user workflows.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using relevant tools (e.g., Cypress, Playwright, Appium).
• Collaborate with developers to resolve defects and identify quality issues early in the cycle.
• Conduct regression, smoke, and exploratory testing across browsers and devices.
• Ensure test coverage and traceability across user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Participate in daily stand-ups and sprint planning sessions (Agile environment).
• Identify and suggest process improvements and QA best practices.

Requirements:

• Minimum 4 years of QA experience, including both manual and automated testing.
• Strong experience testing web applications built on Angular and APIs using Node.js.
• Hands-on experience with testing tools such as Cypress, Selenium, Playwright, Postman or similar.
• Experience with mobile testing on Android/iOS using real devices or simulators (Appium preferred).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control tools (e.g., GitHub, GitLab).
• Good understanding of RESTful APIs and backend testing.
• Ability to work independently in a remote Agile team environment.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
• Must be located within ±2 hours of UAE time zone.

Nice to Have:

• Experience testing hybrid or PWA mobile apps.
• Exposure to performance testing and security testing.
• ISTQB or other QA certifications.
