UX Researcher

Kimberly Hume is looking for a UX Researcher to work a 6 month extendable contract based in Dublin (Hybrid).

Description: This person is responsible for supporting qualitative and quantitative user research initiatives that inform critical decisions for current and future products. They will work closely with cross-product teams to identify research topics that inform business decisions and use best practices in user research to support the entire product design lifecycle. They will collaborate with the cross functional team to identify hypotheses and topic areas for future research. They will coordinate, plan, design and execute research projects, and deliver insightful and actionable insights. They will recruit for, and conduct needs-based research as well as some usability research, in the office and using remote tools. They will collaborate closely with designers, technologists, and product managers, and they will be expected to deliver persuasive and compelling findings to stakeholders throughout the business.

Job duties: Organize, coordinate, and execute user experience research projects as part of our UX Research team and in support of our cross-functional partners including UX and Industrial Design, Product, and Engineering.

Requirements:

• In-depth interviewing.
• Research project definition, planning and coordination.
• Participant recruitment experience.
• Analytical and interpretive techniques.
• Research reporting and documentation.

Desired skills: Survey design, market research, and competitive analysis a plus.

Desired experience: Hardware and software interaction / IoT research experience.

Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in research-heavy fields (e.g., UX, HCI, data science, psychology, anthropology, ethnography, media studies, etc.).

Required shift: Standard 9-5:30 with an hour lunch, Monday to Friday, with some accommodations required for New Zealand and US time zones. 1 day a week in the Dublin office is often required. 2 days is occasionally required.
