Job Description

Kimberly Hume is looking for a number of Project Managers to work across the UK on 3-month extendable contracts. This role is hybrid, and based inside IR35.

 

The post holder will:

  • Project manage the portfolio whilst supporting other projects/workstreams within the team
  • Manage the teams business support functions, including developing and managing the teams plans, progress and report risk and issue management through the PMO
  • Liaise with appropriate functions across national portfolios
  • Manage corporate and directorate business returns, including planning and workforce returns
  • Oversee and manage of all aspects of the portfolio budgets
 

Required education:

  • Educated to master’s level in relevant subject or significant experience of working at a similar level in specialist area
  • Evidence of continued professional development
  • Comprehensive knowledge of project principles, techniques and tools, such as Agile, Prince 2 Foundation and Microsoft Project or equivalent experience.

 

Required experience and knowledge:

  • Knowledge of project principles, techniques and tools, e.g.PRINCE2, Managing Successful Programmes, Agile or equivalent (e.g. APM).
  • Experience in the development of health policy, adopting an inclusive approach that fosters the co-development of achievable implementation plans to deliver agreed strategic outcomes
  • Experience of working in a fast- changing programme environment, where the drafting and redrafting of complex briefing papers, reports, presentations forms part of day-to-day business
  • Experience of monitoring budgets and financial and business planning processes
  • Experience of taking information from a number of sources and providing analysis, summary and options within detailed report information
  • Demonstrable record of achievement of working in a multi-agency and project centred environment.
  • Track record in stakeholder management with the ability to influence key decision makers and drive change
  • Significant experience of successfully operating in a politically sensitive environment with diverse stakeholder input
  • Experience of achieving objectives by working with others not under direct line management control
  • Experience of working successfully in a virtual collocated team, where shared learning across the team is critical to the successful delivery of programme outcomes
  • Detailed knowledge of maintaining confidentiality and implementing data protection legislation requirements including information governance
  • Experience of direct line management as well as managing a team and achieving objectives
