Job Description

Ying Cui is looking for Juniper IP TL to work in Africa.

Required work profile and work knowledge: 

  • Engineering graduates
  • Applicants with relevant network operation and maintenance experience and NOC operation experience will be given priority.
  • Must have in-depth understanding of IP/MPLS technologies used in telecommunications networks.
  • Cisco/Juniper certification will be added to profile.

Skills and knowledge:

  • Operation, maintenance, troubleshooting and configuration of routers and switches installed in the network.
  • Have practical experience in remote software upgrade of network elements
  • Good understanding of MPLS, network design principles and performance monitoring
  • Familiar with BGP, ISIS, OSPF network design principles
  • Product: : juniper equipment
  • Workmanship and Quality
  • Understanding the various processes used in network operations will be an advantage.

Soft skills:

  • Analytical skills such as logical thinking, problem solving and handling assignments are mandatory.
  • Excel, report generation, trending and analysis are mandatory.
  • Must have fluent oral and written communication skills in English.

Responsibilities:

  • Resolve trouble tickets raised by NOC/Customer/LNOC teams
  • Provide fault management for all NEs and provide follow-up support in case of upgrades.
  • Node health check, node backup, node list
  • Network performance problem analysis
  • Implement network changes according to CR process
  • Support integration and acceptance of new network nodes.
  • Ensure that current licenses and software versions are suitable for current network requirements.
  • Ability to validate and execute plans provided by the planning team.
  • Capacity management and reporting to prevent potential capacity shortages.
  • Liaise with third party vendors/vendors to resolve faults/issues requiring vendor support.
  • Verify and maintain the Known Error Database (KEDB) for IP/Datacom nodes.
  • Determine the root cause and recommend appropriate resolution actions for Priority 1 and Priority 2 incidents and other incidents that t

  • On-call and on-call with engineer roster to support troubleshooting network issues
