Transition Manager

We are currently looking for a Transition Manager to work on a 6 month rolling contract based in Bristol paying £265 a day.

IT Service Introduction Managers provide the critical link between IT projects and service delivery. They work alongside project managers and service delivery teams to scope, plan and deliver the knowledge and work processes needed to support new or changed services and to ensure that they meet business requirements. They apply their procedural and technical experience to facilitate the agreement of roles and responsibilities between various operational teams from the business, IT, and 3rd parties to make sure the IT elements of a service can be supported successfully.

As a result, the IT Directorate is under increasing pressure to ensure new services are delivered ready-to-operate, to minimise operational incidents, and deliver real potential to drive measurable benefits across the organisation.

What we’re looking for:

Our clients IT services are often very complex and involve the integration of numerous technologies, services and suppliers. We require an energetic, enthusiastic Service Introduction Manager with a wide range of experience to join us in introducing new services into operational support.

You should have significant experience of both project work and operational support in complex IT environments, with a wide variety of stakeholders within the public sector, and an awareness of IT issues facing large organisations.

  • Significant experience of both project work and operational support in complex IT environments in a large organisation (proven size and complexity)
  • Strong stakeholder and relationship management skills (internal and external)
  • Good analytical skills
  • Strong communicator clear and articulate
  • Excellent written communication skills
