Technical Director Consultant

Fay is urgently looking for a Technical Director Consultant to work on a 6-month rolling contract based in Uganda (Kampala).

Role responsibilities:

- Lead and manage a team of 30+ engineers for Implementation and technical support of the engineering projects across RAN, Tx, IP, and Core domains.
- Responsible for KPIs and SLAs compliance for Multidomain Managed Services Contract Delivery
- Prime interface for customer C-Level on all technical deliveries and topics
- Maintain and improve the leadership position of our customer Network in all independent benchmarks (DT and Crowdsource)
- Streamline technical activities processes and reporting, and improve automatization of tasks in the department.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree (or above) in Telecommunications/Electrical Engineering/Science departments.
- 15 year’s experience in delivering projects for major telecom organisations (OEM experience preferred)
- Proven experience in delivering Managed Services contracts.
- Strong knowledge of Mobile Network E2E Architecture.
- Expert knowledge in the Wireless (2G/3G/4G) domain is preferred for this all-around role, whilst also demonstrating strong skills in Transmission, Core CS, Core PS, domains.
- Capable of leading and deep diving with Subject Matter Experts to investigate and resolve complex E2E technical issues.
- Knowledge of ZTE, Huawei, and Ericsson.
- Experience in managing 30+ people team.
