Web Software Engineer

 

My client who are a global cyber security oragnisation are rapidly growing and looking to add value to their existing team. They are looking for Web Software engineers with a strong interest in web technologies and development are required to join a fast-moving and dynamic team dedicated to the creation of the industry's most advanced cyber security forensic visualization and analysis layer.

 

This is an incredible opportunity to join the significant R&D teams that create and improve the products behind the company’s rapid growth. Our software engineers work across a wide variety of projects and with a diverse toolset.

 

Typical technologies used include HTML5, CSS, WebGL, JavaScript, Node.js, and JavaScript-based libraries such as jQuery, Backbone and D3.js.

A good university degree in a technical or scientific subject such as engineering, computer science, physics or mathematics is required, with a First or 2:1

 

The ideal candidate must be able to demonstrate extensive experience designing and writing web-based applications and a flair for HCI/UX innovation

Experience with scripting languages (PHP, Python, Perl etc.) and knowledge of visualization technologies such as D3 and Three.js would be an advantage but is not essential

 

The role will suit self-motivated people who can prioritise and follow how they fit into wider progress as well as skilfully solve their immediate challenges. Applications are welcomed from both experienced engineers and recent graduates.

 

Education level:

·      Highly-ranked Universities are considered to be top 10 ranked in the UK or equivalent.

·      Most common degree courses of applicants are Computer Science, Mathematics and Physics. Other numerate subjects are acceptable as long as the candidate can demonstrate relevant talents.
