Senior Software Development Engineer in Test

My client are a global IT solutions provider are looking for a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test for their office in Irving.

Working on high-performance live broadcast and OnDemand video streaming services power many highly popular events such as Olympic Games and the Super Bowl.

The team are looking for an energetic individual to join their skilled engineering team to perform compatibility tests of streaming services with industry video streaming standards. 

The ideal candidate should be passionate about technologies and video streaming in particular, have the ability to read and understand industry standard specifications, and be familiar with streaming protocols such as MPEG-DASH and HLS. 

You should have solid communication and organizational skills, solid in testing methodology, automation and experience, focus on designing, performing thorough and complete test cases, documenting detailed test procedures and getting reliable test results, developing or adding automation where applicable. Familiarity with one or more of the following is a plus:

DASH reference client, JWPlayer, Shaka Player, web technologies, Android, iOS. Knowledge and experience with popular browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Edge, IE) and understanding basic JavaScript for troubleshooting, debugging would be a huge plus.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor/Master degree in Computer Science or Engineering or Math or Science
• 3+ years of experience in software development or testing
