Job Description

Ross is looking for a Senior Citrix & Windows Systems Administrator to work on a 6-month rolling contract. The role is remote-based but candidates must be from Europe due to the hours you will be required to support clients.

You will be expected to technically own and lead all Citrix support within the production environment, including providing out of hours standby cover, incident, change, problem and request management.  
The successful candidate needs to be able to work alone but also and within a small but highly diverse infrastructure support team, managing highly available and critical safety systems who are accountable for the majority of all deployed infrastructure services in the environment from the Storage and SAN infrastructure, Virtualisation layer and Server infrastructure, all the way through to the end user clients.
A minimum of 5 years exposure to Citrix ZenApp and associated infrastructure management toolsets at a senior level is expected and being able to collaborate and assist all members of the support team to manage all the infrastructure is essential in a challenging, rewarding and constantly developing environment
Essential Technical Skills:
- Citrix XenApp 7.x, 6.5 – PVS, DDC, Storefront, Studio, Director
- Citrix XenDesktop 7.x
- Citrix Profile Management (UPM and WEM)
- NetScaler ADC - VPX
- Windows Server 2012 / 2016 / 2019 Support
- Core Windows Services – AD, DNS, DHCP, DFS, DFS-R, Clustering
- Hyper-V 
- Powershell
Desirable Technical Skills:
- System Centre Suite 2016 (SC-VMM, SCOM, SCCM and SCORCH)
- Host Guardian Services
- Netbackup
- Windows 7 / 10 Desktop Support
- Netbackup 
- CyberArk
OS Knowledge:
- Windows Server 2008 / 2012 / 2016 
- Windows 7 and 10 Desktop 
Day to day duties and activities:
- Part of the wider infrastructure support team
- Deal with all monitoring alerts, incidents, requests, problems and changes 
- Out of hours support on a rota basis
- Regular security patching, vulnerability management and maintenance activities
