Will be working on ideas as part of a team or developing design concepts using CAD (computer-aided design) or advanced software.
Sketching initial design ideasTesting the design concept by computerized modelling or physical hands-on testing of models
Keeping up to date with emerging fashion trends.
Liaising closely with sales, buying and production teams on an ongoing basis to ensure the item suits the customer, market and price points
Understanding design from a technical perspective, i.e. producing patterns and technical specifications for designs
Keep updated with new designs and related technology within his/her area or responsibility.
Perform continuous study of market and consumer preferences, tastes with regarding to company's products and ensure the company's updated design portfolio that support the company's market share within the international markets.
Responsible of managing design or graphics teams and departments.producing detailed, final hand drawings and specifications or, more likely, using dedicated computer software (CAD) to produce design specifications, including parts lists and costings
Researching materials, processes or market requirementsAdapting existing designs for mass production
Meet with clients, listen to their project specifications and translate their requests into designs.
Making presentations to senior design management or clients, either when bidding for a contract or to present design proposals.
Meeting with clients to establish the design brief, including the concept, performance and production criteria
Taking part in specialist or multidisciplinary team meetingsIdentifying the suitability and availability of materials
Making samples or working models by hand or using computerized prototyping equipment
Arranging meetings and liaising with engineers and other departments, including marketing, to discuss and negotiate appropriate production processes, costs and commercial issues
Creating or visualizing an idea and producing a design by hand or using computer-aided design (CAD) and advanced software.
Working with others in the design team, and other departments to develop products to meet the consumer's recruitments and preferences.overseeing productionNegotiating with customers and suppliers
Performs of the following tasks:- Developing design strategies - Managing projects - Collaborating with team members - Meeting customers - Delegating tasks - Mentoring team members - Attending meetings - Conducting presentation - Evaluating performance
University degree: preferred in majors (Interior design- Applied arts- 3D design- Art and design- Fashion- Fashion marketing and buying- Graphic design)
A Master's degree or other postgraduate study is preferred.
From 10-12 years of experience in the same or similar field.
