Principal Accountabilities:

·        Champions the customer within the context of decisions made by internal customers/client areas

·        Manages internal stakeholder relationships, identifying insight information needs and ensuring that these are then effectively met via the use of existing resources (i.e. insight and secondary research), or through commissioning new research and insight projects

·        Defines, develops & delivers insight solutions/recommendations that meet the needs of both internal customers and the business

·        Proactively & reactively synthesizes a broad range of data sources to produce recommendations and insight, which result in decision making and/or business growth

·        Manages relationships with leading-edge Market Research agencies; maximizing the value that external agencies bring to, and ensuring all projects are delivered on time and to budget

·        Identifies better ways of working, benchmarking best practice and championing appropriate change in the context of research and insight

·        To take a consultative role in identifying (proactively & reactively) client information needs, ensuring that these are (then) effectively met via the use of existing resources (i.e. insight and secondary research), Research agency partners and/or through the commissioning of new resources/Research agency partners

·        Delivers research programmes measuring:

o  Customer Satisfaction (across all touch points)

o  Competitor Position

o  Global Brand & Communications

o  Reputation

o  Loyalty

o  Product and proposition development via the community or customer closeness programme

o  Future trends

 

Experience Required:

• Relevant experience of working with external agencies/consultancies/clients 

• Sound commercial and business understanding, including relevant market and competitor awareness

• Proven ability to synthesize a broad range of data sources to produce recommendations and insight, which result in decision making and/or business growth

• Experience of conducting large multi-national projects (desirable)

• Comfortable in presenting all types of information (including complex data) and strategic recommendations at all levels of BA organisation

• Experience in Market Research (ideally with both agency & client experience)

• Experience of working within a market research programme to understand influences on brand perception

• Strong communication skills (written and verbal)

• Strong internal influencing, negotiation and consultancy skills, with stakeholder management to senior level

• Strong organisation and time management skills

• High level of commercial acumen

• Ability to work up, down and across organisational hierarchy, varying approach as required

• Strong interpersonal skills to ensure effective working in a matrix organisation

• Self-starter with high level of enthusiasm, energy and resilience

• Understands what drives customer behavior
