Kimberly Hume is looking for a NOC Manager to work a 6 month rolling contract based Congo B (Brazzaville).

Job Summary:

  • The Network Operations Center Manager’s primary responsibility is to plan, organize, and manage staff and overall operations to ensure stability of the organization’s infrastructure.
  • The Network Operations Center Manager provides  guidance to technical teams, solving networking problems, training junior employees, reporting to technical teams, updating network software, overseeing the daily operations of the NOC, recruiting and training team members, coaching and providing feedback, managing team performance, and preparing reports for the management.

General Management Work Description:

  • Hire, develop, and retain highly responsive and customer focused engineers to ensure the effective operation of the NOC.  Manage tools, systems and procedures to ensure effective management of issues and customer satisfaction.
  • Operational Management- NOC Manager will manage and provide, as needed, hands-on technical support work related to the overall health and maintenance of the organizations multiple environments. This position will perform tier-2 and 3 escalation support and act as the point of contact in the NOC for all inquiries from Senior Leadership and other Managers.
  • Ensure continual process improvement within the NOC including but not limited to automation of NOC tasks and reporting, implementation of enterprise-wide monitoring initiatives, and routine administration tasks, timely resolution of client issues and adherence to SLAs.
  • Coordinates the duty shift table for the NOC operations and carefully allocates staff members (NOC technicians and NOC engineers) on different shift duties for ensuring the whole NOC shift works in an efficient and effective manner.
  • Generate key reports for Management including but not limited to system availability, service level agreements, ticket resolution, incident management, and customer issues
  • Monitor and maintain the health and performance of the network infrastructure, including routers, switches, servers, and other critical components like core and access levels.
  • Ensure 24/7 monitoring and response to network alerts and incidents coupled with proactive communication with customers as required: keeping them informed of incident progress and notifying them of impending changes or agreed outages
  • Proactively monitor network performance and capacity, and Perform daily management of the NOC to ensure that all performance and contractual requirements are being met.
  • Directing L2 line managers/Team leaders responsible for delivery in key domains (Core network, VAS, RAN,IP and TXN,  transport network and operation support systems)
  • 5-8 years’ management experience in a telecommunications environment with at least 2 years in management.
