Job Description

Core/Transmission Engineer required for a 12 month extendable contract based in Dubai, UAE.

 

The position is working for one of the major telecommunications vendors and is looking to start immediately.

 

The main duties of the position are mentioned below. The successful candidate will have recent experience working on the same.

 

 

·      Knowledge on CS core product like MSOFTX3000,SE2900

·      Knowledge on CS Core, MSC pooling, VLR, HLR, IN

·      Knowledge on service flow

·      Knowledge on STP/DRA/Huawei SPS

·      Knowledge on VoLTE would be added advantage

·      Knowledge on hardware architecture

·      Knowledge on KPI and Performance

·      Knowledge of troubleshooting steps and capable enough to resolve customer complaint

·      Knowledge on different protocol like ISUP,BICC,SIP,H.248

·      Candidate should have Strong Knowledge on Routing Protocols like BGP,OSPF,IS-IS,EIGRP,RIP

·      Higher level Skill/knowledge and operation experience in multi-vendor Routers, Switches like Huawei NE Series & Juniper MX series, Cisco

·      Should have Exp on VLAN's ,Clock Servers(NTP Servers)

·      Should have Exp on Switching,STP,RSTP,VTP,MSTP

·      Operation-maintenance, troubleshooting & configuration of Huawei Datacom Network Nodes like, 5600 routers, Huawei and other vendors Firewall switches etc.

·      Good understanding of MPBN Network elements and configuration.

·      Analytical skills like logical thinking, problem solving & handling assignments are mandatory.

·      Excel, report generation, trend and analysis is mandatory.

·      Resolution of trouble tickets raised by NOC / Customer / LNOC Teams

·      Fault management on all NEs and follow up with support in case of escalated cases.

·      Node Health Checks

·      Analysis of Network performance issues

·      Implement network changes as per the CR process                    

·      Support new Network node integrations and Acceptance.

·      Ensure current license and software versions are suitable for the present network requirement.

·      Able to verify and execute the plan provided by planning team.

·      Capacity management and reporting in case of possible breach in capacity.

·      Actively participate in RAN & CS Core Network element acceptance test for handover between delivery and MS/ Customer

·      Liaise with 3rd Party Suppliers / Vendors for resolution of the Faults / Problems needing vendor support.

·      Validating and maintaining the Known Error Database (KEDB) for Wireless Nodes.

·      Identify root cause of Priority 1 and Priority 2 Incidents and recommend appropriate resolution action and other events that Customer identifies as requiring Root Cause Analysis (RCA). 

·      Operation-maintenance, troubleshooting & configuration of Huawei Transmission network elements like WDM.

·      Hand on experience for doing Software Upgrades remotely of WDM NEs

·      Fault management on all NEs and follow up with support in case of escalated cases.

·      Node Health Checks, Node backups , Node Inventory

·      Analysis of Network performance issues

·      Implement network changes as per the CR process                    

·      Support new Network node integrations and Acceptance.

·      Ensure current license and software versions are suitable for the present network requirement.

·      Able to verify and execute the plan provided by planning team.

·      Capacity management and reporting in case of possible breach in capacity.

·      Liaise with 3rd Party Suppliers / Vendors for resolution of the Faults / Problems needing vendor support.
