Core Engineer

James Bundock is looking for a Core Engineer to work a 12 month rolling contract in Saudi Arabia.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct network architecture design, feasibility and cost studies.
• Performance: building performance management reports, business intelligence tools reports and signalling CDRs based KPIs involving AI/ML concepts.
• E2E Call flow based analysis, studies and tuning (parameters, timers, features) to improve network.
• Capacity and dimensioning growth analysis and planning

Requirements: 

• MS Office (Excel, power point, word) to develop high quality reports technical/executive levels.
• CS Core MSC-S, MSC-BC, STP, MGW, HLR-FE, HSS-FE and CUDB.
• PS Core SGSN, MME, GGSN, EPG, SAPC, IPWorks, and Smart Edge.
• IN charging system: CCN, SDP, VS, AIR and IVR. SDF and VAS services.
• IMS: P/I/S-CSCF, MTAS, ATFC, MRFx, MGCF, LRF etc.
• 5GC SA: AMF, SMF, UPF, UDM, PCF, NEF, NSSR, NRF etc.
• Cloud experience – virtual and cloud-native cloud environments (Open stack, Kubernetes, Docker, Containerization).
• Telecom Network Technologies (2G, 3G, 4G, VoLTE, IMS, 5G).
• Understanding of E2E telecom interfaces (i.e. ISUP, BICC, MAP, CAP, SIP, H.248, IP, Diameter…etc.), (i.e. Iu, A, Gx, Gy, S1, S5, S6a, SGS, Gi, S4/S11, S5/S8, S1-C/U, S6a, Sh, SWx …etc.) (Cx, Dx, Rx, Gx, Mw..etc ) (N1, N2, N3, N4, N6, N32 etc).
• Advanced understanding HLD/LLD design handling, auditing and translating to analysis and reporting requirements.
• Experience in different data processing/development tools i.e.: SQL, VBA, python and LINUX shell.
