IT Support Technician - Required in Manchester City
Working as part of the IT team, you will be supporting the businesses on a day-to-day basis whilst, liaising with the Group System Administrators and other members of the team for support as required.
The role requires an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual who will integrate themselves into the business whilst providing a comprehensive 1st line IT support service, whist developing 2nd line support skills.
The successful candidate will be able to provide 1st line IT support directly to users. Working face to face, remotely and on site you must be confident in dealing with people at all levels.You will be responsible for owning and resolving all IT related issues as well as maintaining standards and infrastructure in close cooperation with team members.
YOU MUST HAVE
12 months experience in a busy IT department in a 1st line support role. Experience of working in an engineering environment would be advantageous.A working knowledge of desktop applications such as Windows, Office and Outlook are required for this role.A basic understanding of IP networks, Active Directory, Windows Server 2012, Exchange 2010 and VMware 5.5 would be advantageous.

The role involves being able to work to deadlines in a site environment, working unsupervised to agreed goals with the capability to withstand external influences and having the confidence to request assistance from the IT team, as required. Flexibility and a willingness to travel are a requirement of this post.
