EHS Officer

Kimberly Hume is looking for an EHS Officer to work a 6-month rolling contract based in South Africa (Cape Town).

Please note: Due to the urgency of the requirement we are looking for clients already based in South Africa.

Job Description

• Conduct Site File Implementation / Client electronic submission for approvals on all wireless survey installations and fiber.
• Ensuring contractor and site file compliance; maintenance and upkeep of their documentation against Client HSE requirements.
• Ensure Master files are kept up to date against Client HSE requirements
• Conduct annual Inductions and project specific with contractors working on the Client premises
• Provide assistance in aspects pertaining to the Health & Safety strategy and plan
• Drive, lead and manage the implementation and maintenance of a Health & Safety Program
• Responsible for Bidvest vetting for required staff and upkeep
• Assist with induction and orientation of new staff and subcons.

Requirements:

• NEBOSH – H&S International Certificate / HASLAC – Construction Regulations
• Any other valid and relevant / required and / or additional qualifications / training and / or certification the candidate can present with proof is an advantage
• 5+ years of Construction EHS experience
• Sound knowledge of EHS standards and regulations
