Tangent International was contacted by a Fintech company which needed urgent help with hiring but were hesitant about remote working. They enjoyed significant demand for their product but were falling behind with their projects – a common problem for successful organisations. This demand meant that managers did not have time to invest in interviewing candidates. The problem seemed insurmountable.
Through supportive explanation and our evidence of working with a spectrum of companies, the client was open to new ways of working. We put together a management structure on the best way to hire their talent quickly, but also on how to keep them engaged through remote management programmes; ensuring retention remained high. The solution was built around our online video conferencing suites.
On average, 80% of the talent we provide is passive, meaning they are not looking for work until we contact them, however on this project 100% of the candidates we submitted were passive and had never been seen by the organisation. Using our online video conferencing suites in combination with the one-way video technology Snapfiles, the client, was able to interview all candidates within just two weeks successfully. We achieved this despite the client being based in both the West Coast of the US and Malta,
The client recruited 12 new employees across multiple technologies within a 4-week time-frame. Within eight weeks their projects were back on track and orders had increased; resulting in the recruitment of an additional eight engineers.
The transition from sceptic to advocate regarding tech-based recruitment was remarkable. After the first three hires, they were truly invested and are now issuing the second phase of recruitment: hiring a complete, global team of 15 professionals through Tangent's suite of recruitment technology. They are also using our online 'Capture', tracking the happiness and engagement of their new colleagues.
