Introducing our sponsored team in Malawi. The club was started in August 2007 and is based at Namatete Primary School in the Chirimba township, Blantyre.
They currently have 45 children registered to the club with ages ranging from 10 to 15 years. They play in the competitive Kabula league. The club has a qualified coach with a standard C diploma from the Swiss Football association, which conducted training in Malawi in 2009 in Chileka. Nicknamed "The Hard Knockers", the Namatete Youth Football Team is intended to be the first of many sponsorships like this for Tangent. More news on this and 'The Hard Knockers!' results soon.
